A new radiation treatment method called TomoTherapy - an image-guided (IGRT) modality safely delivers a high radiation dose to small, targeted areas while limiting radiation dose to surrounding normal tissue. Southwest Oncology Centers is the leader in Arizona in this new technology. Our Glendale facility began treating patients with TomoTherapy in June 2005. In December 2005 we expanded this treatment to our Scottsdale facility. Patients travel from surrounding states for this advanced treatment.
